Watch E001 ↗Why we exist / What we stand for
Enemies of the State exists to shine a light on injustice inflicted against those who stand up for individual rights and the future of liberty.
Mission and organizational perspective01 / Why we exist
Journalists, whistleblowers, technologists, and advocates for peaceful freedom have been silenced, imprisoned, and exiled for challenging authority and building tools that empower individuals over institutions.
02 / What we do
Gather interviews, public records, reporting, court materials, and testimony around each case.
Make complex legal and political conflicts understandable without flattening their human consequences.
Keep people visible through editorial programming, portraits, episodes, and ongoing case updates.
Connect readers to verified legal funds, petitions, official campaigns, and appropriate ways to help.
03 / Who we cover
Coverage may include journalists, whistleblowers, privacy developers, advocates, publishers, and others whose peaceful conduct or work confronts state authority.
“Enemy of the State” is not a legal classification. It describes the posture institutions take toward people they treat as threats for exercising rights, exposing wrongdoing, or building alternatives.
Meet the enemies →04 / Our perspective and standards
Our reporting gives meaningful space to the person and defense. We disclose that perspective instead of presenting advocacy as neutrality.
Documented procedural facts, government claims, defense positions, and EotS interpretation should be labeled as distinct forms of information.
Primary documents, dates, sources, and current case status should remain accessible wherever possible.
Profiles are living records. Material corrections, changed status, and disputed claims should be reviewed and updated transparently.
05 / Who we are
This area will introduce the founders, contributors, advisors, editorial relationships, and relevant organizational disclosures as they are approved.
