Larken Rose is an author, speaker and filmmaker whose work explores self-ownership, non-aggression and the belief in political authority. His books include The Most Dangerous Superstition, The Iron Web and Kicking the Dragon: Confessions of a Tax Heretic. He developed Jones Plantation from an animated work into a feature-film project and a novel. Through The Rose Channel and the Candles in the Dark course, he also explores how to communicate these ideas with people who see the world differently.

Why this voice is here.

In E006, James Babb invites Larken into a wide-ranging conversation about authority, conscience, justice and the way people understand freedom. Larken draws on his own experiences, discusses individual cases, and explains how these ideas run through his books, videos and films. The conversation closes with communication, good intentions and his reasons for seeing progress even when the news feels bleak.
